Department: Service Analysis
Under the direction of the Section Manager, Service Analysis, the incumbent is responsible for developing scheduled and ad-hoc reporting for ridership and fare information, operations and federal reporting, and Passenger counting systems and performance. Incumbent is also responsible for maintaining current and establishing new data files pertinent to fixed route, vanpool and paratransit service analysis. Will work closely with planners to evaluate routes using the Intelligent Bus System (IBS) and farebox data to evaluate service and fare type distribution. Other duties as assigned or required.
Bachelor degree in engineering, statistics, business, or mathematics, or a related field along with 3 to 5 years of experience in data collection and analysis and/or transit. Can substitute additional experience for university work. Must be proficient in Excel, and all Microsoft Office products. A working knowledge of Tableau, Python, R, SQL, or any other programming language a plus. Must be able to utilize any computer applications to the extent required by specific job functions. Must have good communication skills, ability to work well as a team, as well as individual projects as assigned.
