Location: Melrose Park
Under the direction of the Superintendent of Maintenance, or designate, is responsible for daily servicing of Pace vehicles including fueling and cleaning; accurately maintaining proper fuel and fluid levels and recording fuel and fluid information; operating wash rack, floor scrubber, and fare box vaulting system; parking and spotting of vehicles; installing, maintaining, and removing bulletins, advertising, and postings on Pace vehicles; routine cleaning of building, grounds, and equipment utilized in performing the duties of this position; reporting defects; completing all required documents and reports for work performed; and performing other duties as assigned. The performance of these duties may be required at any time of the day and night, any day and night of the week. This is a safety sensitive position.
NOTE: This is a bargained for position (Union) and is in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Qualified candidate must be at least 21 years of age; possess, or be able to obtain, a valid class "B" Commercial Driver's License with Air Brake and Passenger endorsements; be able to operate all Pace equipment; be able to lift 75 pounds to waist height, maintain and carry that weight for a minimum of ten feet; and have a good work history.
