Division Manager

Job Description:
Under the direction of the Regional Division Manager or designate, is responsible for the direct supervision of all day-to-day operations, administration, transportation, safety, training, and maintenance sections of the Division; implementing, monitoring, and enforcing Pace rules, policies, procedures, and programs; handling labor relation matters, contract negotiations, contract implementation, grievances and other union matters with the union; handling all personnel matters; performing monthly and annual budget analysis and reporting, and operating within budget; approving and overseeing Division petty cash, expenses, payroll, appraisals, and purchasing; serving as payroll backup administrator; conducting periodic payrate audits; overseeing pay progressions and generating annual leave accruals; initiating and running investigations when warranted; establishing Division goals and working with staff to achieve them; overseeing the safety and security of the facility, employees, and passengers; working on projects and special events; and performing other duties as assigned. Must be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This is a safety sensitive position.

Qualifications:
Must have a High School Diploma, High School Equivalency Diploma or General Education Diploma, (college degree in transit-related field or business is preferred) and a minimum five years' experience in public transit supervision and operation management including labor relations, discipline of employees, complaints, and incident/accident investigation; extensive knowledge of public transportation (familiarity with Pace Operations, Safety/Training and Maintenance procedures is a plus); have or be able to obtain a valid Class B Commercial Drivers' License with Passenger and Airbrakes Endorsements and DOT certification; have proficient computer skills, strong interpersonal and written and oral communication skills, be able to maintain confidentiality, and have a good work history.
