Job Description: Under the direction of the Department Manager, Maintenance & Technical Services, responsible for research and developing of technical specifications for fixed route and demand responsive vehicles. Coordination of manufacture, inspection, delivery and placement in service of same. Reviews/revised other technical requirements for the on-going inspection and support of 1,200 revenue and non-revenue vehicles. Supervises staff performing EPA compliant engine re-manufacture and related components, and accident body damage repairs and preventive maintenance repairs.
Qualifications: Qualified candidate must have a minimum of three (3) years in Project Management with strong background of public transportation maintenance support areas and an Associate's Degree in structural/electrical engineering. Must show experience in technical writing and supervisory skills. Must be proficient in computer word processing programs and computer applications to the extent required by specific job functions, and must be prepared to write documents related to job duties using the word processing applications.
