Job Description: Under the direction of the Department Manager, Research & Analysis, work as a change-agent within Research and Analysis, combine the use of advanced technology and existing or new data resources to;
Identify and implement data and visualization needs to help the agency improve its services, as well as identify services working well.Identify and implement innovative methods for streamlining department reporting and analysis to improve timeliness, accuracy, and meaningfulness of reporting to advance Pace's strategic goals.
Qualifications: PhD (preferred) in analytics, data science, transportation, or a technical area, MS required. Must have experience in software used for large-scale data analysis, such as R, Python, ArcGIS, and Tableau. Must also be experienced in using Microsoft Office products such as Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word. Must be familiar with cloud-based computing services such as AWS. 5+ years relevant experience with analytics and data collection. Knowledge of transit data helpful. Must be proficient in communicating through presentations and other personal communication means as well as through electronic media. Must be able to communicate effectively with Executive-level personnel both within and outside of the organization. Must also be able to communicate on all levels within the organization.
