Under the direction of the Chief Information Officer, or designate, manages the people, processes, and technology related to: Data Architecture, Data Security Management, Database Administration, Master Data Management and Modeling, Data Stewardship Management, Data Warehouse Management, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, and Data Quality Improvement.
Will define job roles, performs interviews, and hires staff; performs performance appraisals, recommends merit-based salary increases and promotions, and manages disputes with HR; initiates discipline, performance improvement plans, and performs separations; performs expense and capital budgeting and forecasting; performs invoice management and expense and capital tracking; performs vendor and contract management; prepares RFI's, RFQ's RFP's IFB's bid proposal, contracts, scopes of work, cost estimates, and other documentation for IT initiatives in the procurement process; performs program and project management; defines staff expectations, goals, and objectives, and assists and supports them to ensure they understand same; aligns staff expectations, goals, and objectives with corporate objectives; motivates, enables, and empowers staff to contribute to organizational success; allocates resources and performs planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and directing approved initiatives to accomplish expectations efficiently and effectively; designs and implements staff development, training, and succession plans; identifies and adjusts conflicting priorities; maintains a positive customer service attitude when representing Pace both internally and externally; exercises excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology concepts to business leaders, and business concepts to technologists; exercises excellent listening skills to comprehend management directives; communicates them clearly such that staff understand and work toward expected outcomes; monitors workplace maintenance, security, and safety procedures and advises general management of concerns; contributes to departmental strategic and tactical planning processes; participates in audits of various origin and works to ensure the compliance, performance, and security of Pace technology environments in accordance with applicable contractual, regulatory, and legislative requirements.
Qualified candidate must have at least five years of progressive experience managing and IT Data Services function and large projects that include cross-functional teams and a budget in excess of $1 million. Must have proven ability managing enterprise-wide programs, operating effectively across the organization within complex contexts. Bachelor's Degree in Business or Computer Science or equivalent experience. Master's Degree is a plus. PMP certification is required. Various certifications in Microsoft, Oracle, ITIL, IIBA, and PMI preferred.
