Under the direction of the Section Manager, Grant Administration or designate, administers all aspects of grants including but not limited to tracking and monitoring various grants for necessary funding, expiration dates, grant extensions, closeouts, project funding shortages, budget revisions, reallocation of funds, and maximum grant dollars; performs quarterly analysis for all grants; coordinates and assists with FTA and RTA Quarterly Grant Meetings; coordinates and leads quarterly project status meetings; assists in updating Grants Administration Manual based on changes in procedures or new state, federal, or local grant requirements; as Superuser for Oracle Grants module, assists various staff with Oracle issues; reviews grant agreements; reviews and processes requisitions, change orders, pre-bid packages, specifications and contracts; acquires concurrence from funding agencies in accordance with grant compliance from IDOT and RTA; prepares reports including Quarterly Milestone Reports and end of month reports; handles special projects as needed; and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualified candidate must have a bachelor's degree in business, finance, liberal arts or public administration and a minimum of 1 year previous experience in grant administration; knowledge of Federal Circulars 4220.1F and 5010.1F is preferred; must possess aptitude in reading and comprehending federal circulars, federal registers, contracts and specifications; must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel, experience with Oracle is a plus; must be a team player and possess strong interpersonal skills; must be a fast learner and be able to successfully and efficiently work on numerous projects simultaneously in order to meet deadlines; and must have strong written and verbal communication skills, an aptitude for mathematics, and be detailed oriented. Must be able to work in a professional office environment with the majority of the working hours consisting of computer work; and must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.
