Reporting directly to the Department Manager, IT Administration and Project Delivery, the role of the Senior Project Manager (SPM) is to plan, execute, and finalize projects, according to strict adherence to scope, schedule, and budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors to develop projects according to plan. Defines the project's objectives and oversees quality control throughout its life cycle. Primary focus will be on medium to highly complex projects appearing on the Project Portfolio; however, projects with less complexity may require oversight.
Qualified candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Public Administration, or comparable related experience as well as Certification(s) in Project Management. Minimum four years of direct work experience in project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution. Technically competent with various software programs, such as Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must possess ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Exhibit excellent analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple projects with aggressive timeliness in a demanding, dynamic environment. High degree of initiative, dependability, and ability to work with little supervision.
