Chief Technology Officer
Location: South Holland
Under the direction of the Deputy Executive Director of Revenue Services, or designate, directs and coordinates inter department procurements, implementation, use, maintenance, of new and existing technologies in use by Pace. The tech systems include but are not limited to Trapeze, Apollo, Safety Vision, and DriveCam. Provides video recording for pending litigations, present Pace as an expert witness in such areas. Develop, procure and maintain security and surveillance systems for Pace operating facilities. Coordinate communication between suppliers, Pace Maintenance and IT groups. Creates budgets and contracts for continuing maintenance, inspections and repairs for Surveillance systems (rolling stock and buildings), APC's (Automatic Passenger Counters), Bus Wi-Fi systems, Intelligent Bus System (IBS), radios, Ventra, fare collection system. Explore new technologies, monitor contract expenditures. Represents Pace at industry rolling stock technology meetings.
A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology and or IT is required. Minimum of five (5) years in a supervisory position, Public Transportation and related fields of Rolling Stock Technology.
