Training and Development Specialist

Under the direction of the Chief Compliance Officer, is responsible for administering training, certification, and event programs, including Lunch and Learns and Pacesetter Awards, in accordance with PMO policies; planning and implementing the training or event, including working with Pace's Graphic Services department on document distribution; researching and evaluating the quality and cost effectiveness of training and certification programs and providers; reviewing training materials; negotiating costs with providers; advising, coaching and assisting employees with their education and training objectives; reviewing, approving, registering, logging, tracking and processing payment for employees' requests for training, certification, memberships and tuition reimbursement, as applicable; preparing and tracking the tuition reimbursement budget, the training and certification budget, and the membership budget; attend education fairs and liaise with universities and training entities to benefit Pace employees; performing administrative duties including answering telephone calls, responding to email communications, composing and sending written communications, diarying compliance deadlines, and assisting in compiling compliance data; attending meetings with and/or on behalf of the Chief Compliance Officer; and performing other duties as assigned.
Qualified candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of five (5) years previous experience in a professional office environment; certification in training and development or learning and performance is preferred; possess advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel applications, knowledge of Service Now is a plus; be proficient in math; possess excellent organizational skills; be detail oriented; be able to successfully work on numerous projects simultaneously and efficiently in order to meet project deadlines; possess strong written and oral communication skills; be able to proofread and edit documents for spelling, grammar and punctuation; possess strong interpersonal skills; be able to work independently and maintain confidentiality; be able to work in a professional office environment with the majority of the working hours consisting of computer work; be able to travel to off-site locations; and be able to lift up to 5 pounds frequently.
