Senior Service Analyst
Location: Arlington Heights
Under the direction of the Section Manager, Service Analysis, is responsible for developing new reporting processes to increase the accuracy of Pace's data; managing route databases; querying multiple large data sets; analyzing information and data; creating, editing, and maintaining reports; evaluating automatic passenger counters; working with garage staff to improve equipment accuracy; collaborating on special projects; and performing other duties as assigned.
Qualified candidate must have a bachelor of science degree or equivalent experience with emphasis on computer science; a minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in computer system data base management, system analysis, or computer programming with a good work record; be able to write queries in SQL; be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint; have a solid working knowledge of Python, R, or similar programming language; have a working knowledge of a visualization tool such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar, experience with spatial analysis software like Arc GIS is a plus; possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrate strong interpersonal skills; be a team player and work harmoniously and effectively with others; and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work in a professional office environment with the majority of the working hours consisting of computer work, however, occasional field work within the Pace service area and outside of regular office hours is also required; and must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.
