Due to ongoing low ridership and performance issues, Route 809 will be eliminated after its last trip on Friday, January 18, 2019.
Pace based its decision to eliminate this route on an extensive review of ridership, efficiency, and productivity on all routes across the region. Comments on proposed eliminations were accepted at a series of public hearings in October 2018.
Passengers may be able to use other Pace and McHenry County services, including:
- MCRide is an “on-demand”-style service. Riders reserve their trip in advance. The vehicle provides curb-to-curb service from the rider’s desired pick-up and drop-off destinations within defined service boundaries. Schedule a ride by calling 1-800-451-4599 or (TTY) 888-847-0093.
