Job Description:
Under the direction of the Superintendent of Maintenance, or designate, is responsible for daily servicing of Pace vehicles including fueling, cleaning, and maintaining proper fluid and fuel levels; accurately recording fuel and fluid information; interior bus cleaning and detailing; operating and servicing wash rack/cleaner; emptying farebox vaults; taking farebox readings; parking and spotting vehicles and equipment; maintaining bulletins, fliers and other materials on vehicles; storage and lining up buses for pull out; routine cleaning of vehicles, building, grounds, and equipment utilized in performing these duties; building custodial duties including snow removal, cleaning, painting, and grounds keeping; completing all required documents and reports for work performed; and performing other duties as assigned or required.
NOTE: This is a bargained for position (Union) and is in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidate must be at least 18 years of age, and possess, or be able to obtain, a valid class "B" Commercial Driver's License; possess the ability to operate all Pace equipment; have knowledge of the service area; have a good work history; and be capable of lifting 75 pounds to waist height, maintaining and carrying that weight for a minimum of ten feet. Must have or be able to obtain Underground Storage Tank Type C Certification. The performance of these duties may be required at any time of the day and night, any day and night of the week. This is a safety sensitive position.
