Job Description:
The Compensation and Retirement Benefits Associate will play a crucial role in managing and administering our compensation and retirement benefits programs. This position involves ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, analyzing compensation data, and providing support to employees regarding their benefits. The Compensation and Retirement Benefits Associate assists in the administration of the organization’s non-bargained for compensation program and both non-bargained and bargained retirement plans. Essential Functions include:
- Assisting in the evaluation of non-bargained-for job description questionnaire (JDQ) and job descriptions and assisting in the recommendation of salary grade and FLSA assignment based on comparative analysis.
- Assisting in the analysis of compensation strategies through review of marketplace comparisons.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of compensation policies and procedures.
- Conducting market research and salary surveys to ensure competitive compensation packages.
- Researching and resolving participant inquiries.
- Assisting in the management of professional service providers for all retirement plans.
- Assisting in the administration of retirement plans.
- Representing the organization as an alternate on retirement plan committees.
- Performing other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, finance, or related field.
Experience:
Must have One to three years of compensation and/or pension benefits experience.
Certifications/Licenses:
Must have valid Class D Driver’s License.
Proficiencies:
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Adobe (pdf files). Experience with Oracle HRMS preferred. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be customer service oriented with strong interpersonal skills. Must be highly organized and detail oriented. Must be able to prioritize work, handle a variety of projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing program needs. Must be able to work independently and in teams. Must be able to interpret rules, regulations, policies, and procedures and make sound decisions. Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality information and data.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a normal office environment.
This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule after successful completion of a 6-month job introduction period.
Physical Requirements:
This role requires sitting for extended periods, typing on a computer, and attending meetings. Minimal lifting or physical activity is required.
Salary:
Full salary range: $50,467-$100,983
Midpoint: $75,725
Starting salary range: $50,467-$63,096
Pace provides full pay ranges so candidates can consider their growth potential. The final salary will depend on the candidate's qualifications.
