Job Description:
Under the direction of the Section Manager, Accounts Payable/Receivable, the Fixed Asset Accountant I will be responsible for assisting with the completion of physical inventory at the headquarters, division and carrier locations. Essential functions include:
- Assist with the processing of fixed asset accounting transactions such as asset acquisitions, transfers, warranty repairs, and disposals.
- The position will be responsible for extracting data and preparing reporting and assists with various journal entries and month end close items.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
Must have an Associates’ degree in Accounting or Business.
Experience (how many years, what specific experience):
Must have one to two years of Accounting Experience with good work history.
Certifications:
Must have a valid driver license, and a safe driving record.
Proficiencies:
The candidate must display good verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite (Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Previous experience in a computerized accounting system is required and Oracle experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Work is primarily performed in an office environment, however candidates must be able to perform physical work during inventories and lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
Working Conditions:
Local travel within the six county region will be required. The workday is 8 hours and can begin as early as 7:00am and end no later than 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. Business need may require an early morning start from time to time.
This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule after successful completion of a 6-month job introduction period.
Salary:
Starting salary range: $50,946 to $60,909
Full salary range: $40,983-80,835
Salary midpoint: $60,909
