Job Description:
Pace’s paratransit service is provided for customers whose disability or health condition prevents them from using CTA and/or Pace fixed route services for some or all of their travel. Under the direction of the Project Manager, Regulatory Compliance, the Compliance Intern - Paratransit will assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance with ADA regulations, organizational policies, and other relevant standards. Essential functions will include:
- Assisting with updating Contractor Employee credentials using Trapeze Ops 6 and Apex.
- Reviewing and monitoring Paratransit operations to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other applicable regulations.
- Helping prepare reports and presentations for management on compliance findings and recommendations.
- Other duties as assigned.
The intern will gain proficiency in software such as Trapeze and Apex, as well as learn regulatory frameworks, while contributing to the quality of and accountability for paratransit services.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalency and currently enrolled in a 2 year or 4-year accredited college or university and working toward a degree in business, transportation planning, or related field.
Proficiencies:
Must demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications and have excellent customer service skills.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time, type, and other related activities.
Work Location:
The primary work location is Pace Paratransit Operations. 547 W. Jackson Boulevard, Chicago, Illinois 60661.
Working Conditions:
The position is based in an office setting with standard office equipment. The workday is 8 hours and can begin as early as 7:00am and end no later than 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. However, the business needs of Pace may result in work schedules outside the typical hours/workdays. This position is not eligible for hybrid or remote telecommuting.

$20/hour
