Job Description:
Under the direction of the Chief Internal Auditor, the internal audit and administrative intern assists internal audit with completing audit projects assigned, adding value to Pace & achieving objections. The Internal Audit and Administrative Intern will:
- Work with internal Audit team, complete projects assigned and prepare accurate draft reports.
- Participate in audit self-assessment using global audit standards, charter & Pace policy compliance.
- Conduct risk and internal control evaluations.
- General administrative work, including filing documents, updating logs, proofreading, organizing notes and meeting minutes.
- Other work assigned.
The Internal Audit and Administrative Intern will learn to collaborate with a team of audit professionals, contributing to audit projects that adds value to Pace objectives. The intern will gain value experience in the Internal Audit field, including learning how to conduct interviews, gather evidence, review risk, and write audit reports.

Qualifications:
Age:
18+.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalency and be enrolled in an accredited 2-year or 4-year college, with a focus on audit, accounting, finance, data analysis, and other audit related fields.
Proficiencies:
An individual hired for this position must be proficient with Microsoft Office products, Teammate, IDEA and other internal audit software.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time, type, file documents, and carry objects up to 20 pounds.
Work Location:
The primary work location is Pace Headquarters, 550 W. Algonquin Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60005, but the candidate will frequently be riding buses throughout Pace’s service area.
Hours:
Up to 22.5 hours per week.
Working Conditions:
The position is based in an office setting with standard office equipment. The typical workday is conducted over an 8-hour period and can begin as early as 7:00 am and end no later than 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. However, the business needs of Pace may result in work schedules outside the typical hours/workdays. This position is not eligible for hybrid or remote telecommuting.
Salary:
$21/hr.
