Joliet Transit Center
Pace's Joliet Transit Center opened for passenger service on December 6, 2021. The $9.7 million investment created a modern transportation hub that offers riders convenient boarding and transfer locations, accessible transit information, and spacious waiting areas.
The new transit center is part of the Joliet Gateway Center complex, a Pace/Metra/Amtrak multi-modal station in downtown Joliet at Marion and St. Louis Streets - just south and west of the train tracks.
The indoor passenger waiting area measures 2,850 square feet and contains public and employee restrooms, bus tracker signage, a Ventra vending machine, and an information desk.
The exterior bus turnaround measures 28,000 square feet and consists of 13 bus bays (11 of which are dedicated to Pace), a bus tracker sign, security lighting, large canopies at each bay and wayfinding signage.
