On Monday, January 29, Pace launched a pilot program that expands On Demand service in the Arlington Heights-Rolling Meadows area. The service allows passengers to reserve rides with little advanced notice and visit key destinations in the area.
The expanded service provides passengers with more ways to access transit. Under the expanded service zone, passengers can visit the Randhurst shopping center in Mount Prospect, which is near Pace Bus Route 234.
Passengers also can reserve rides to Pace’s Northwest Transportation Center in Schaumburg, creating stronger connections to a popular transportation hub in the northwest suburbs. The service zone also includes Mariano’s grocery store on the east side of Arlington Heights.
Pace has been growing On Demand services throughout the region. Last year, Pace expanded On Demand service zones in western Lake County and the Naperville-Aurora area. Pace On Demand includes 10 total designated service zones in Northeastern Illinois.
Passengers may plan and book trips using the Transit app. From there, you can use the new On Demand app to manage your reservations. Passengers may also reserve a trip online at PaceBus.com/OnDemand or by calling 224-803-9277.
