Northwest Cook On Demand-New name and new destinations
Northwest Cook On Demand formerly known as Arlington Heights-Rolling Meadows On Demand
New name and new destinations—Effective March 2, 2026
Pace is pleased to announce that, starting Monday, March 2, 2026, a pilot service expansion of the Northwest Cook On Demand (formerly known as the Arlington Heights-Rolling Meadows On Demand) service will launch!
The current service zone will be doubled in size to serve more riders. The zone will expand west of IL-53 and north of Euclid Avenue, bounded by Palatine Road to the north, Quentin Road to the west, and Algonquin Road to the south. The service name is also changing to reflect the additional communities now served. Additionally, the service will now operate from 6am to 8pm.
Some popular destinations in the expanded zone include:
• Harper College
• Palatine Metra Station
• Palatine Library
• William Fremd High School
The new zone will enhance the area’s overall transit network by providing new connections with many Pace routes at the Pace Northwest Transportation Center and Route 234 near Randhurst Village.
Passengers may plan their trips using the Transit app. From there, you can use the On Demand app to manage your reservations. Passengers may also reserve a trip online at PaceBus.com/OnDemand or by calling 224-803-9277.
This service expansion is made possible by an Invest in Cook grant from Cook County.
