Route 423 Detour Alert
Effective Monday, April 6, 2026
Due to road closures in downtown Glenview starting on Monday, April 6, 2026, Route 423 trips (including A, C, D, and E trips) will detour as follows:
Northbound Trips: Harlem → Dewes → Washington → Lehigh → Resume Regular Route
Southbound Trips: Lehigh → Washington → Dewes → Harlem → Resume Regular Route
423 E Trips: Harlem → Dewes → Church → Glenview → Waukegan → Regular Route
423 A, C, and D Trips: Waukegan → Dewes → Harlem → regular route
Please note that during this detour, Route 423 will not serve stops on Lehigh, between Glenview and Washington. Route 423 E trips will not serve stops on Harlem, between Dewes and Glenview and on Glenview, between Harlem and Church. Route 423 A, C, and D trips will not serve stops on Harlem, between Dewes and Glenview and on Glenview, between Harlem and Waukegan.
On the temporary route segments, bus stop signs will not be present. Riders can get on or off the bus at any safe intersection along those segments.
All trips will detour until construction is completed, which is expected to be on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 for Route 423 A, C, D, and E trips and on Monday, April 13, 2026 for all regular Route 423 northbound and southbound trips.
