Route 547 Detour Alert

Effective Monday, April 20, 2026

Due to construction on Wing St. between McClure Ave. and Commonwealth Ave. in Elgin, all outbound Route 547 trips will detour as follows:

Highland → McClure → Lawrence → Wing Park → Wing
(regular route)

During this detour, outbound buses will not serve McClure Ave. between Lawrence Ave. and Wing St. and Wing St. between McClure Ave. and Wing Park Blvd.

Inbound buses are not affected by the construction and will operate the regular route.

Please note that posted bus stop signs will not be present along the detour routing. Passengers may get on or off the bus at any intersection along the detour where it is safe to do so.

Buses will resume regular route upon the completion of construction, expected April 24, 2026. Please allow additional travel time during the detour.
