Service expansions take effect March 15, 2026
Pace is implementing a number of service expansions to key routes on March 15, 2026. Information about those changes is below, and additional detail will be issued in the form of passenger notices in early March.
Route 213--On weekdays and Saturday, the hours of service will be improved, and trips will be added to extend the availability of more frequent service throughout the day. The added service will enhance connections with numerous Pace and CTA bus routes, the Metra UP-North Line at multiple stations and with the CTA Red, Purple, and Yellow Lines.
Route 315--Extending this route to connect with the CTA Orange Line Midway Station fills a gap in north-south transit service in the vicinity of the I-55 Stevenson Expressway, specifically in the area east of Harlem Avenue and west of Cicero Avenue. Furthermore, both the hours and frequency of service will be improved on all service days. The added service will improve connections with multiple Pace and CTA bus routes and with the CTA Green, Blue and Orange Lines.
Route 349--To improve service along the entire route, all trips on Sunday/holidays will operate the full length of the route. On Saturday, both the hours and frequency of service will be improved. On weekdays and Sunday/holidays, the hours of service will be improved, and trips will be added to extend the availability of frequent service throughout the day. The added service will improve connections with multiple Pace and CTA bus routes and with the Metra Electric Line at the Harvey Station.
Route 350--On weekdays, one additional early morning eastbound trip will be added. On Saturday and Sunday/holidays, both the hours and frequency of service will be improved. The added service will improve connections with the Metra Electric Line at the Harvey and 147th/Sibley Stations and with multiple Pace bus routes.
Route 507--On weekdays, the frequency of service will be improved to bring service back up to 2019 levels. Additionally, the hours of weekday service will be expanded. These adjustments will enhance transfer options to Metra and other Pace bus routes in downtown Joliet.
Route 755--To address a recent increase in ridership, a new weekday inbound trip will be added that will depart from the Pace Park-n-Ride in Plainfield at 10:05am. This new trip will skip the Pace Park-n-Ride Old Chicago stop to offer more capacity for passengers boarding at the Pace Park-n-Ride in Plainfield. To provide more capacity for riders at the Pace Park-n-Ride Old Chicago stop, the current trip will no longer serve the Pace Park-n-Ride in Plainfield and instead begin directly from the Pace Park-n-Ride Old Chicago stop at 10:26am.
