Job Description:
Under the direction of the Superintendent of Maintenance or designate, the Building Maintenance Person responsible for all scheduled preventative maintenance and minor repairs of building systems and equipment such as:
1. Power-operated equipment, hydraulic systems, HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems.
2. Routine cleaning, painting, maintenance, and repairs of facility.
3. Minor lawn care and snow removal along with basic plumbing and electrical repairs.
4. May work with Facility Maintenance Specialist on coordinating work projects of outside contractors.
5. Responsible for completing all required documents and reports for work performed. Other duties as assigned.

Education:
High School Diploma or equivalency.
Experience (how many years, what specific experience):
Three years of experience in a comparable field, basic administrative experience, and must be able to pass Building Maintenance examination. Must have a good work history.
Certifications:
have or able to obtain a Class B Illinois Commercial Driver's License with airbrake and passenger endorsement and have ability to operate all Pace equipment.
Must have or be able to obtain, air conditioning certification, forklift certification, and underground tank certificate.
Proficiencies:
Must have the ability to read/follow blueprints, schematics, maintenance manuals and to operate test equipment.
Must have a set of hand tools and be able to work any hours of the day and all days of the week.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, able to climb ladders, and capable of heavy lifting. This is a safety sensitive position, must meet all requirements.

$33.63/hr
