Job Description:
Under the direction of the Section Manager, Accounts Payable/Receivable, the summer accounting intern will assist the Pace Accounting Department with various tasks, including vouchering accounts payable invoices which allows Pace to pay invoices on time. The intern may also sort and distribute finance department mail, assist with daily bank deposits, assist with various other projects, including conducting physical inventories. The intern, by the end of the summer, will have a better understanding of finance and accounting duties and responsibilities in a government agency, as well as an understanding of office etiquette and being a team player.

Qualifications:
Age:
18+.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalency and be enrolled in an accredited 2-year or 4-year college.
Proficiencies:
Must demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Acrobat.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time, type, and process paper/electronic documents.
Work Location:
Pace Headquarters, 550 W. Algonquin Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60005.
Hours
Up to 37.5 hours per week.
Working Conditions:
The position is based in an office setting with standard office equipment. The typical workday is conducted over an 8-hour period and can begin as early as 7:00 am and end no later than 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. However, the business needs of Pace may result in work schedules outside the typical hours/workdays. This position is not eligible for hybrid or remote telecommuting.
Salary:
$21/hr.
