Buses will continue to serve these locations
In response to Governor Pritzker’s announcement of the statewide rollback to Tier 3 Covid-19 mitigation strategies, Pace will close indoor spaces at their Plainfield, Elgin and Harvey transportation centers beginning Friday, November 20, 2020.
Buses will continue to serve these locations, but Ventra vending machines will not be accessible. Passengers are encouraged to download the Ventra app to add funds to their accounts. Riders can also add transit value online, by phone, or at participating retailers; more information is available at ventrachicago.com.
"We know that the transportation services we provide are vital for residents who need to access jobs, medical care and necessities,” said Pace Executive Director Rocky Donahue. “We’ll continue to provide this essential service and we remain committed to the safety of our passengers and personnel.”
The facilities are expected to remain closed through January 11, 2021. Passengers are reminded to wear face coverings, practice social distancing, and limit travel to essential trips.
