Route 230 Detour Alert

Effective Monday, September 28, 2026

Due to construction in Des Plaines, starting on Monday September 28, 2026, White between Ashland and Algonquin will be closed. As a result, Route 230 southbound trips will detour as follows:

Route 230 Southbound Detour

River → Algonquin → White → resume regular route.

Route 230 will not serve Ashland between River and White or White between Ashland and Algonquin.

On the temporary segments of the routes, posted bus stop signs may not be present. Riders can get on or off the bus at any safe intersection along that segment.

Route 230 will return to its regular route upon the completion of construction, expected by Monday, October 16, 2026.
