Route 509 – B Trips Detour Alert

Starts Tuesday, July 14, 2026

Due to water main construction on Henderson Avenue in Joliet, Route 509 B trips will detour as follows:

Route 509 B Eastbound

Jefferson – Collins – Jackson – Henderson (normal route)

Route 509 B Westbound

Henderson – Jackson – Collins – Cass (normal route)

During the detour, Route 509 will not operate on Cass Street east of Collins Street or Henderson Avenue south of Jackson Street. All other Route 509 trips will operate normally.

Regular service will resume when construction is complete, expected to last 3 weeks.
