Route 541 Detour Alert

Effective Friday, July 10, 2026, ONLY

Due to an event at the intersection of Ann and Douglas in Elgin, all outbound Route 541 trips will detour as follows:

Douglas → Kimball → Grove → Cherry → Douglas
(regular route)
 

During this detour, outbound buses will not serve Ann Street between Grove Avenue and Douglas Avenue and Douglas Avenue between Ann Street and Cherry Street.
 

Inbound buses are not affected by the event and will operate the regular route.
 

Please note that posted bus stop signs will not be present along the detour routing. Passengers may get on or off the bus at any intersection along the detour where it is safe to do so.
 

Buses will resume regular route on Saturday, July 11, 2026. Please allow additional travel time during the detour.
