Route 543 and 803 Detour Update
Effective Tuesday, March 31, 2026
Due to construction activity on Besinger Dr. between Ball Ave. and IL-25 in
Carpentersville, Routes 543 and 803 will detour as follows until late 2026:
Route 543 Northbound:
• IL-25 → Mall Dr. → Meadowdale Shopping Ctr. → Ball Ave. → IL-25 → Golfview Ln. (regular route).
• Buses will not serve Mall Dr. between the Meadowdale Shopping Ctr. and Besinger, Besinger between Mall Dr. and Lake Marian, Lake Marian between Besinger and IL-25.
• Buses will serve Meadowdale shopping center in the northbound direction only.
Route 803 Northbound:
• IL-25 → Lake Marian (regular route).
• Buses will not serve Mall Dr. between IL-25 and Besinger and Besinger between Mall Dr. and Lake Marian.
Please note that posted bus stop signs will not be present along the detour routing. Passengers may get on or off the bus at any intersection along the detour where it is safe to do so.
Buses will resume regular route upon the completion of construction, expected late 2026. Please allow additional travel time during the detour.
