Route 546 Detour Update

Due to shifting construction on Walnut between Wilcox and IL-31 in Elgin, inbound Route 546 trips will detour as follows:

Inbound

• Walnut → Wilcox → Orange → Orchard (regular route)
• During this detour, inbound buses will not serve Walnut between Wilcox and Orchard.

‘D’ Trips

• Walnut → Wilcox → South → Jackson → Highland → IL-31 → Chicago → Elgin Transportation Center
• During this detour, ‘D’ trips will not serve Walnut between Wilcox and IL-31 and IL-31 between Walnut and Chicago.

Outbound buses are not affected and will operate the regular route.

Buses will resume regular route upon the completion of construction, anticipated at the end of August 2026. Please allow additional travel time during the detour.
