Route 547 Detour Alert

Effective Tuesday, November 3, 2026
 

Due to water main construction in Elgin on Royal Blvd. between McLean Blvd. and Adeline Dr., all outbound Route 547 trips will detour as follows:

Garden Crescent → Royal → Abbott → McLean → Royal (regular route)

During this detour, outbound buses will not serve Adeline Dr. between Abbott Dr. and McLean Blvd. and Royal Blvd. between Garden Crescent Dr. and McLean Blvd.

Inbound buses are not affected by the construction and will operate the regular route.

Please note that posted bus stop signs will not be present along the detour routing. Passengers may get on or off the bus at any intersection along the detour where it is safe to do so. 

Buses will resume regular route upon the completion of construction, expected Friday, November 6, 2026. Please allow additional travel time during the detour.
