Routes 209, 241 and 290 Detour Alert

Effective Friday, September 4, 2026 & Friday, October 2, 2026
 

Due to events in Park Ridge, Route 209 northbound trips and Routes 241 and 290 will detour as follows on Friday, September 4, 2026 & Friday, October 2, 2026 from 4:00PM to 10:00PM.

Route 209 Northbound Detour

Northwest Highway → Washington Avenue → Touhy Avenue → Busse Highway → resume regular route

Route 241 Detour

Prospect Avenue ↔ Touhy Avenue

Route 290 Detour

Cumberland Avenue ↔ Touhy Avenue

Southbound trips on Route 209 will continue to operate on the regular routing.

While this detour is in effect, buses on these routes will not be able to serve the Metra UP-Northwest Line Park Ridge Station bus stop at Summit Avenue/Prospect Avenue.

On the temporary segments of the routes, posted bus stop signs will not be present. Riders can get on or off the bus at any safe intersection along those segments.
