Routes 501, 505 and 507 Detour Alert
Starts Monday, June 29th, 2026 at 7:00pm
Due to construction, the Jackson Street bridge in Joliet will be closed nightly from 7:00pm – 7:00am. As a result, Routes 501, 505, and 507 will detour as follows:
Route 501 Westbound
Route 505 Clockwise (outbound) &
Route 507 Westbound
Scott – Ruby – Broadway – Western (regular route).
Route 505 Counterclockwise (outbound)
Scott – Ruby – Center (regular route).
During the detour, buses will not operate on Cass between Scott and Broadway. Routes 501 & 507 Eastbound, and Inbound Route 505 Clockwise & Counterclockwise buses will not be affected.
NOTE: The detour above for Routes 501, 505 (outbound), and 507temporarily replaces the previously posted detour dated 9/26/25 from the hours of 7:00pm – 7:00am. The posted 505 clockwise (inbound) detour dated 6/12/26 remains in effect. Buses will resume the previously posted detour when the Jackson St. bridge reopens.
