Routes 524, 530 and 802 Detour Update
Effective Friday, October 4, 2024
Due to further changes in construction activity at the intersection of New York and Broadway in downtown Aurora, Routes 524, 530, and 802 buses will operate modified detours as follows:
Route 524 Westbound
• Aurora Transportation Center → Broadway → Benton → River → Regular Routing
• Buses will not serve Broadway between New York and River, and River between New York and Benton
Route 802 Northbound
• Aurora Transportation Center → Broadway → Benton → River → New York → Regular Routing
• Buses will not serve New York between Broadway and River
Route 530 Eastbound
• Aurora Transportation Center → Spring → Lincoln → New York → Regular Routing
• Buses will not serve Broadway between Spring and New York, and New York between Broadway and Lincoln
Route 530 Westbound
• New York → Lincoln → Spring → Broadway → Aurora Transportation Center → Broadway → Benton → River → New York → Regular Routing
• Buses will not serve New York between Lincoln and Broadway, and New York between Broadway and River
Route 802 Southbound and Route 524 Eastbound will not be affected by this detour.
Please note that posted bus stop signs will not be present along the detour routing. Passengers may get on or off the bus at any intersection along the detour where it is safe to do so. Please allow additional travel time during this detour. Detours will remain in effect until further notice.
