Routes 561, 563, 564, 568, and 572 Detour Alert

Effective Saturday, June 20, 2026, ONLY

Due to the closure of Washington from Jackson to Sheridan, and Genesee from Washington to Clayton, for the Waukegan Juneteenth Parade and Festival, Route 561, 563, 564, 568, and 572 buses will operate the following detour for all trips on Saturday, June 20:

Route 561 Southbound:

• Genesee → Grand→ Sheridan→ Washington → Waukegan Metra → Washington → Sheridan (regular route)

• Buses will not serve Genesee south of Grand and Washington east of Genesee.
 

Route 563 Northbound, 564, 568 Eastbound:

• Belvidere → Sheridan (regular route)
 

Route 563 Southbound, 564, 568 Westbound:

• Sheridan → Clayton → County → Grand → Sheridan → Belvidere (regular route)

• Buses will not serve County from Clayton to Washington and Washington from County to Sheridan.
 

Route 572 Eastbound:

• Washington → Lewis → Belvidere → Sheridan → Waukegan Metra

• Buses will not serve Washington from Lewis to Sheridan.
 

Route 572 Westbound:

• Waukegan Metra → Sheridan → Grand → Jackson → Jackson Ct → Edison Ct → Washington (regular route)

• Buses will not serve Washington from Sheridan to Edison Ct.
