Brian W. Dahl
Brian W. Dahl currently serves as the Director of Servicing for the Painters District Council No. 30 (PDC 30), a construction-trade labor union representing painters, industrial painters, drywall finishers, and glaziers throughout North Central Illinois. His public service roles have included Business Representatives for two PDC 30 Local Unions; trustee on PDC 30’s health, pension, and training, and labor-management industry development fund boards; PDC 30’s Interim Fund Administrator; President of the Fox Valley Building Trades Council; service on the Kane County Board, Kane County Forest Preserve District, Aurora Police Foundation, Invest Aurora, Fox Valley United Way, and the Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce. As an elected member of the Kane County Board, he took particular interest in regional transportation policy and resources, served on the Transportation Committee, and supported partnerships between Kane County and Pace.
Brian is committed to lifelong learning, beginning with his Certificate of Completion of the PDC 30 Joint Apprenticeship & Training Program, and continuing with his formal education with a Bachelor of Arts from the National Labor College, George Meany Center for Labor Studies (Emphasis in Union Leadership and Administration), and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Baltimore. He also regularly participates in labor relations certificate programs, numerous programs offered by state-and national-level labor organizations, and professional development geared toward effective management within labor organizations and the design and administration of employee benefits. A life-long resident of Kane County, he currently resides in Sugar Grove.
On the Pace Board, Director Dahl represents Kane County. He also serves on the Board of the Northern Illinois Transit Authority.
