Kyle R. Hastings
Director Hastings currently serves as the Mayor of Orland Hills. Mayor Hastings is the longest serving Mayor in Orland Hills’ history. Hastings has been the past President of the South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association, retired two-term Commissioner of the Northeastern Illinois Planning Commission, and member of the Southwest Council of Local Governments.
Hastings received an Excellence in Government Award from Moraine Valley Community College’s Economic Development Council for creating a healthy community through leadership, planning, and the economic development brought about by the revitalization of commercial development on 159th Street and 94th Avenue.
Hastings has been inducted into his former high school Hall of Fame along with NBA basketball player Dwayne Wade of the Miami Heat. Director Hastings and his wife Mary have six children. Director Hastings has received his bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University and Master’s Degree from Governors State University. He successfully completed the Leadership Institute for Superintendents at Harvard University.
On Pace's Board of Directors, he represents Southwest Suburban Cook County. He has served on the Pace Board since 2007.
