Rory E. Hoskins

Rory Hoskins was elected Mayor of Forest Park on April 2, 2019.  He had been the first African-American to have ever been elected to any public office in the Village of Forest Park when he was elected to serve as a village commissioner in 2007.  Hoskins assumed the Office of Mayor on May 13, 2019; his second term commenced on May 8, 2023.

Hoskins and his wife (Monique) have lived in Forest Park since 1999 and have four children. While serving as a village commissioner, he pushed for the creation of Forest Park’s Diversity Commission (established in 2015).  Having been elected to serve two consecutive terms as a village commissioner, Hoskins declined to seek a third term.

Hoskins graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1992 with a B.A. in Government.  Hoskins earned a Master of Social Work degree from Loyola University Chicago in 1999, and graduated from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law in 2012.  Hoskins is a member of the Illinois Bar.

On the Pace Board, Director Hoskins represents West Suburban Cook County. He also serves on the Board of the Northern Illinois Transit Authority.
