Save Money
A commuter residing in a two-person household and using public transportation including Pace Vanpool, and lives with one less car can save an average of $1,083 per month (more than $13,000 annually) according to the American Public Transportation Association's September 2023 Transit Savings Report. That's a lot of money you can save! With the Rideshare Savings Calculator, you can compare estimates of your monthly and annual costs commuting alone to traveling in a group.

Driver Bonus
Primary drivers can enjoy launching a group and having no vanpool payments. It’s free use of a Pace van, free gas, free maintenance, free roadside assistance and more. Drivers get monthly personal vanpool mileage and can prolong the life of their own personal vehicle. Riders who volunteer to backup drive receive a $25 - $15 monthly discount off the rider fare depending on their participation frequency. Become a vanpool driver today.

Commute With Others Safely
Counting yourself, you just need 4 commuters total to form a Pace Vanpool. Safety is a priority at Pace. All participants are screened. Pace vans are well maintained. Pace staff is readily available by phone and email to address participant concerns and help drivers with program compliance. To find other potential participants safely online, search for vanpools near me.
